About the Directors

Ashley Coleman

Miss Coleman is beginning her 7th year of teaching. She is a native of Spring, TX and graduated from Klein High School. She attended Texas Christian University where she studied clarinet under Gary Whitman and earned her Bachelors of Music Education. Prior to teaching at Medlin Middle School, Miss Coleman taught in Glen Rose ISD for 3 years where she worked at both the junior high and high school campuses. Her professional affiliations are TMEA, TBA, Pi Kappa Lambda, Mu Phi Epsilon and Tau Beta Sigma. Miss Coleman spends her free time with Ellie, her energetic Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She also spends many a weekend cheering on the New York Jets, New Jersey Devils, but most of all her TCU Horned Frogs. 


Ethan Munger

Mr. Munger is in his first year at Medlin Middle School. He attended Texas Tech University, where he studied Euphonium under Dr. Kevin Wass, and earned his Bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Euphonium Performance. He is a native of Keller, Texas, and attended Keller High School. Whilst attending Texas Tech he was extremely active as a performer and instructor, and his experiences have taken him all over the country (and as far as Taiwan!). He spent several years as a private lesson and sectional instructor throughout the Lubbock area, and has extensive experience performing and teaching with Drum Corps International. His professional affiliations include the International Tuba Euphonium Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, and the Texas Music Educators Association. When not teaching band he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, searching for the perfect cup of coffee, and watching football.
